What is VOOT 411?
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram 411 is YOUR source on the internet for information, gameplay, and tactics pertaining to AM3's Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram. There is information on all of it's incarnations- ver.5.2, ver.5.4, and ver.5.45.
A word from the editor...
Upon Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram's arrival for the Dreamcast, I had no prior experience to this seldom seen arcade game, although I have had some experience with it's former incarnation- Virtual On: Operation Moongate in the arcades and with the Saturn version. At this time, I considered myself an adequate pilot in VOOM. VOOT retains all be basic play mechanics of VOOM, but with added speed and tons more variation. It's scary and shameful when I think of how I used to play VOOM- because knowing what I know today, I was totally ignorant of proper gameplay and tactics.
Something clicked when I started playing VOOT. Maybe it's the high-res graphics. Maybe it's the 60 fps. Maybe it's all the pyrotechnics. I'm not really sure, but my piloting skills have vastly improved. While still relatively inexperienced (you only get better with better competition- as the saying goes in all facets of competitive activities), I still wouldn't consider myself on the same level as the Japanese and Singapore VR pilots.
While scouring the various message boards from across the web for general gaming info., I realized there were lots gamers asking help for VOOT. Instead of answering the same questions over and over and became redundant, I decided that it was a good idea to create a sub-site to Game-411 that had information on VOOT that wasn't found among other VOOT sites- now called VOOT 411.
VOOT 411 was originally intended to have just BASIC strategies against VOOT's AI. Strategies for Beating Bradtos and Tangram, along with other "quick" type information. However, it's ballooned and now covers each topic more thoroughly. Drastic changes have been made to the cosmetics also, which is a major upgrade from VOOT 411's infancy.
Enough banter, pop in Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram for Dreamcast and use the strategies, tactics, and information found within this resource. If you're not that skilled... good. You'll get better... and look at VOOT with a whole new adoration.
Special Extra Thanks to Rolander, without him, this site would not have evolved to the level it is at now. To him, I owe many thanks.
Enjoy,
